This Raw Vegan Kale Smoothie Tastes Like Ice Cream, Son(s)!

After a way too long hiatus, we finally have our Vitamix back in action. We bought the blender nearly three years ago and literally ran it into the ground. Because (unfortunately) we’re the type of people who take months to address issues that involve going to the post office, we lived without the Vitamix for longer than I want to admit here. But once we sent it back, it was back on our doorstep within 9 days! Can you believe that? Great service, I tell you.

Check out the Vitamix whip up the kale shake like it’s nobody’s business.

I must have been out of my element cause the first smoothie I made after having it back tasted like crap. This kids were not happy and neither was I. So I had to make sure to redeem myself…

I’ve had this “Pistachio Ice Cream” Kale Shake bookmarked for about a year. I had completely forgotten about it, until I saw it again when I was cleaning up my bookmarks (another thing that takes me forever to get around to). All I have to say is I’m so dang happy with this recipe. When I asked the kids if they wanted one they were both hesitant, traumatized after that other yucky misfortune, but then I hollered, “It tastes like ice cream!” And they both came running. The best part – It really does taste like ice cream! But it’s made with kale! And it’s raw and vegan to boot.

Mad props to Healthy Blender Recipes for sharing this bomb-ass concoction.
